About Me

I've spent a decade leading machine learning and data science teams at both startups and larger organizations, and have substantial healthcare experience. As LLMs and other AI technologies have become more accessible, I've grown passionate about helping businesses keep up with the curve by helping them adopt right-sized solutions for their needs.

I originally started my career with a PhD in neuroscience, where I was applying stats and programming to MRI data to understand the brain. I then transitioned to industry, where I was leading I started the SF Health Data Science Program for Insight Data Science. From Insight, I joined GYANT as their first ML Engineer, and was applying natrual language processing to healthcare data for a healthcare chatbot. GYANT exited in 2023, acquired by Fabric Health.

At Included Health, I was responsible for significantly scaling the ML within the company's flagship product, before transitioning to management and leading teams as small as 5 and as large as 20. Most recently, I oversaw Included Health's adoption of GenAI, and led the team that implemented it's first user facing chatbot.
